Is everyone in your household in agreement with the decision to adopt a dog?
Does anyone in your household have allergies to dogs or cats?
Are you a first time dog owner:
Have you consider the daily expenses - food, vaccinations, monthly preventive Heartgard for Heartworm and tick/flees preventetive, grooming, bath, unexpected medical expenses, obedience classes?
Are your pets up to date on vaccines?
Do you give your pets heartworm and flea and tick preventatives monthly?

*Please call your vet and ask them to release the information to our adoption counselor.

If we don't have the dog you are looking for, are you open to suggestions?
Are you willing to adopt:
Do you agree and understand that you need to provide regular health care by a licensed veterinarian?
When the dog is outdoors, how do you plan to supervise the pet?
Do you agree to contact The Luving Paws Foundation if you can no longer take care of this dog?
Are you willing to let The Luving Paws Foundation representative visit your home by appointment?

PLEASE INDICATE THAT YOU READ AND AGREE WITH THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT

We believe dogs are not a child's responsibility but all our dogs for adoptions have been exposed to children, we kid test them every week as part of our socialization program, but keep in mind that any dogs behavior may change during the transition to a new environment, dogs are in many occasions unpredictable and they may react when startled or hurt by a child, intentionally or unintentionally. I will teach and educate my child or other children not to pull ears, poke eyes, using a horses,  or to lay on top of them. I will make sure that my child or other children will understand that my rescue dog is a family member and he deserve to be treated with love, compassion and respect. I will not leave any child under 10 years old unsupervised around the dog.

WE, THE LUVING PAWS FOUNDATION, RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DENY ADOPTION OF ANY ANIMAL IN OUR CARE FOR ANY REASON, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING.

 

1. WE FEEL THE ANIMAL IN QUESTION IS NOT APPROPRIATE FOR THE LIVING SITUATION AS STATED BY THE POTENCIAL ADOPTER, OR IS OTHERWISE NOT A GOOD FIT FOR THE POTENTIAL ADOPTER.

 

2. WE FEEL THE POTENCIAL ADOPTER IS INCAPACITATED IN ANY WAY NOT MAKE A RATIONAL DECISION WITH REGARDS TO ADOPTING AND CARING FOR AN ANIMAL.

 

3. WE FEEL THE ANIMAL IN QUESTION WILL BE IN MORTAL DANGER BE IT FROM NEGLECTED OR ABUSED.

 

4. WE FEEL THE ADOPTER IN QUESTION CANNOT ADEQUATELY TAKE CARE OF THE ANIMAL, WHETER WAS FINANCIALLY OR PHYSICALLY.

 

5. IF A PREVIOUSLY ADOPTED ANIMAL IS RETURNED, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO NOT RE-ADOPT AN ANIMAL TO THAT INDIVIDUAL OR FAMILY.NO EXPLANATION NEEDED.

 

6. WE WILL ALWAYS ACT IN THE BEST INTEREST OF OUR DOGS AND AS SUCH RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DENY ADOPTION IN ANY AND ALL SITUATIONS WHERE WE FEEL THE BEST INTEREST OF OUR DOGS WILL NOT BE SERVED.

 

7. ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL.
